| Remember that commitment of running a 5K each month in 2008? We’ll I’m 1 for 1. I ran the Frigid 5K in Dublin last Saturday so January is covered. How was it you ask? Cold and slow! When the race started it was 21 degrees. Yes, I said slow. There’s this whole running in preparation for a race that I kind of missed since I’d say about Christmas. Now before I get a lot of grief on my time I have to say at least I was out there. What were you doing Saturday morning at 10:15? |
Frigid 5K
January 20th, 2008New for 2008!
January 6th, 2008With 2008 here, I thought it might be time to come up with some goals for the new year. I’ve done this before, but I’m really planning on trying this time. Here goes:
- Run, run and run some more. The real goal here is to just get out and relax. That goal in itself it decent but I’m adding an official 5K each month. I’ve got January and February covered with the Frigid 5K. Race information is at Columbus Running Company.
- Care Less and Care Selectively. Ok so before you think I’m a jerk let me explain. In the past I got caught up thinking some things were really important and hindsight has allowed me to see that they weren’t nearly that important. This goal is to help me choose the right things to care about.
A final parting thought:Go Bucks!
Taskdriver and Killerstartups
November 11th, 2007Taskdriver was recently reviewed in KillerStartups.com. Check us out!

Taskdriver
November 6th, 2007I’ve been using Taskdriver to manage some projects at my current job. It’s a great tool. Taskdriver is focused on tracking and reporting on tasks. It’s not meant to be a complete project management tool, but it is simplicity at it’s finest. Selfishly, there were a few features I wanted that weren’t available. That being said there were a few features I wanted to add, so if joined the open source team.
The team is lead by Todd Brillon and he has a great vision for the product. I just changed out the authentication methodology and we are currently in beta for the 2.0 version. Check it out, sign-up for the beta and let us know what you think!
Giving
September 12th, 2007I finally made it through to Kiva and was able to find someone to sponsor. If you haven’t checked this out I would highly recommend it. It’s simple, quick and there is a real connection to real people that are stepping up to better themselves. I refuse to call it “charity”, it’s really giving and I’m glad I’m able to do it.
